The average pair uses 4 ocean-bound plastic bottles, melted into polyester yarn for laces, eyelets, and lining. We pay collectors directly.
We print each pair's carbon footprint right on the box — same way you'd find calories on a food label. The industry average is around 14 kg CO₂e. Our lightest pair is 4.2.
We're working toward halving the average pair's footprint by 2030. See the math in our annual impact report.
Read the 2025 reportWe spend more on the things you can't see than on telling you about them. Full bill of materials in every box.
Send back any pair after a year of wear and we'll refurbish or recycle them — and credit you toward your next.
We've planted 1.4 million native trees through reforestation partners in Madagascar and Kenya since 2022.
